Water polo teaches skills that go beyond the pool and presents countless opportunities for young athletes. Riptides teaches athletes the importance of commitment, accountability, resilience, teamwork and goal setting. These transferable skills not only help athletes become the best athletes they can be, but also help them succeed as students, employees and leaders in our community.

As athletes move up through the age groups they will be presented with opportunities to travel across Canada or internationally for league competition and training. Edmonton is proud to have countless alumni who have competed for Team Alberta, Canadian National Teams and at NCAA Collegiate programs. Many senior athletes in the Edmonton community speak to the life skills that water polo has taught them and shaped who they are today.
