Q: How did you first start playing water polo?

A: I got into waterpolo when a friend from my competitive swim team invited me to come try a practice! I decided to join full time in 2023.

Q: What is it about water polo that made you fall in love with the sport?

A: I love the team aspect and the competitive side of waterpolo, I also love being part of a club. 

Q: What is your favourite water polo memory?

A: In U15 westerns our team had been struggling to beat Fraser Valley all year, every tournament we would fall just short of beating them, in Westerns we ended up playing them for the crossover to see who would make it to the semis. We ended up beating them 8-7 and making it to the semis in the last tournament of the season, I just really enjoyed how are hard work definitely showed up when we needed it. 

Q: What made you want to be a coach?

A: Coaches have impacted my life a lot, I remember and look up to each and every coach I have had, I wanted to have that same impact on an athelte's life that my coaches did for me.

Q: Who was your most influential coach?

A: Taylor Halbauer improved my game and understanding of the game big time! She always encouraged me to push my self more than I ever thought I could, She relates a lot of her personal experiences to our own and always knows what is right for a team. She helps me achieve my personal goals and makes me a better all around player. 

Q: Who is an athlete you admire?

A: I admire Penny Cowan for her dedication and her work ethic
